Tawang trip

His Holiness the Dalai Lama's visit to the disputed region of Tawang, once again reaffirmed India's control of the terriority. This is one of the most remarkable political statement that India has ever made with vision and boldness. By allowing the Dalai Lama to visit this disputed terriorty, India drives home three important points. First, The Dalai lama is a respected guest, and he is free to go anywhere in Indian terriority, Second,
India sends an imambiguous signal that Auronachal Pradesh is a part of India, and India would not barge under any circumstances.
Third, India signals that the Chininese government  can not dictate its terms on India.

The Dalai Lama and exile Tibetan government serves as thorn in flesh for the Indo -China bilaterial relationship. Yet many sees  Tibet is the only leverage that India can flaunt in its talk with next door neighbour. Even though some leftist Indian newspaper and commentators quite dont see it that way, the fact is China and India will always remains as a rival, envying each other's emerging super power status. Besides India and China can not get along, because China is under a commuist regime, and while India is a under a robust democratic system. The two can not be married  given their  ideological conflicts and principle differences.

It is very obvious that for China, Tibet remains a very sensitive issues. This is a good news for Tibetan. For Tibetan issue can not shoved under the rug  as long as China make it a big  issue. China is Tibetan number one PR. Today His Holiness the Dalai Lama expressed his concern that after his pass away, Tibet movement will face a big setback, and but he has strong belief that there is an emerging younger and healthy generations that will take over to lead the Tibetan movement.  Are Tibetans ready for a post -Dalai Lama era, to lead our struggle  forward, without  losing any of its lustre , HH the Dalai Lama amassed.
