A Political Monk?

His Holiness the Dalai Lama to an interview in the film"The Sun Behind  Cloud" said"the Tibetan people have so much hope on me, but I am helpless".
Majority Tibetan  have absolute regard and trust, faith, belief   to His Hiliness the Dalai Lama's wisdom and vision for the future of Tibet including myself. But it is crucial for any Tibetan to read between lines of the Dalai Lama's responses, and speeches and writings on regarding to Tibet's future. The Dalai Lama described that he felt the same situation again ( as he did in 1959) when the Tibet crisis was its height  in 2008.
Tibetan called His Holiness requesting not to stop people's demonstrations, and whereas the Chinese government is bent on to crackdown violently. His Holiness felt sandwhiched between two giant boulder.Analyzing the intense pressure and reponsbilities of the Dalai Lama to quell such a violatle situation, it  must have been mindboggling.

Even at  faces of  life or death, HH ables to maintain his cool temperament  and sombering mood. A rare quality of any world leaders.  Tibetan people were extremely fortunate to be lead by such leader, who has a six sense and farsightedness, that guides our rationality. Tibetan movement reached its mometoum and gained international spotlight. No matter to what direction the movement head on,  far nothing went out of control.  When I was watching the movie, the biggest question comes to me, is  where the Tibetan struggle will move foward, to what direction and under what leadership after the Dalai Lama? Wanglishiong, a Chinese scholar said that  the Chinese government believes ones the Dalai Lama pass away, the Tibetan exiles will be left with a leadership vaccum. And eventually, the Tibetan freedom  movement will die out. The Chinese believes that as far as they have the military, the economic power, Tibetans in Tibet are content with their livelihood under the Chinese rule. they cannot sacrifice their livelihood.

Jamyang Norbu says China sees that the Dalai Lama as a symbole of Tibet indenpendence, and as far as he lives, the question of Tibet independence stay alive. It is very worrying trend  that the Tibet issue is upto one individual. So in order not let this happen , the Tibetan in exile have a huge responsibilities to demcractize their government, and therefore the Kalon Trip in 2011  election is a key issue. Provided the exile government laid down a solid foundation for democracy, Tibet movement will gather its momentum and move on with more vigor and vitality.
Besides, right now His Holiness is in excellent health,as told by doctors during his most recent check up. His Holiness announced that he has no worry, for Tibetan exile government has elected political leadership since 2001 and besides there are many young and bright Rinpoche and head lamas of different traditions, who are very promising emerges take the lead.
Another sign of positive things is the indefensiable faith of Tibetan  people in His Holiness the Dalai Lama. When the horrific earth struck  Jyekundo, one could see  how the surviving victems called for His Holiess blessing and showed their absolute reverence to him at a most testing time. The local resident have also petitioned to the Chinese leadership to allow HH to visit the  victems and so was the HH's earnest wishes to pay a visit.

Unfortunatly, the Chinese government turned a deaf ear,  they could  not risk  the   Dalai Lama's visit, Chinese media debated on the issue and  say that the Dalai Lama is not only a spiritual  leader but a political monk..
Are the Chinese leadership  making  a good judgement by not allowing in the Dalai Lama's visit, or they might be losing one very important opportunity?.
